Hey everyone! Today, I’ll be sharing to you some books I’ve been planning to read for this week. Some of these books I am currently reading, and others I’ve already completed. So, here goes:
1. All The Good Parts by Loretta Nyhan
37% into the book and I’m liking it so far. Why? Because it’s witty, entertaining and gives the readers a fresh take on motherhood.
For hopeless gamblers like me. And nope, I have no gambling issues whatsoever – just pure bad luck. Anyway, I’m interested in this book because of its MC who is a cheerleader turned gambler.
3. A Mortal Song by Megan Crewe
This has a Mulan vibe going on but after reading the description, I thought it was way, way better. The characters are Japanese instead of Chinese and the premise sounds totally epic.
The description was quite vague but this book seems to speculate about social media, modern technology and the like. And Connie Willis is said to be a sci-fi icon, which I am determined to find out if it’s true.
5. Faultlines by Barbara Taylor Sissel
Every now and then, I need a bit of drama in my life and Faultlines is the perfect choice.
39% done but I’m having troubles continuing this book. Every time I attempt to, I go into a slump and a reading slump is something I don’t need right now. Hopefully, I will be able to finish this though I’m still uncertain when.
7. The Best Possible Answer by E. Katherine Kottaras
Based on the description, I am sensing a fellow Virgo in our main character here. A perfectionist, from the looks of it, and it looks like she gets herself into some scandal that will trigger the turning point in her life.
8. Summerlong by Peter S. Beagle
Author of The Last Unicorn, Peter S. Beagle is one of my favourite authors and I’m eager to read another book of his. (Plus that cover looks really pretty!)
9. The Mercy of the Tide by Keith Rosson
Magic, history, realism, mystery and literary fiction combined – I can’t wait to see everything this book has to offer!
10. The Reader by M.K. Harkins
I think my opinion of this book belongs to the negative minority. I read it with high expectations and unfortunately, The Reader didn’t live up to it. However, the mind-reading concept was very intriguing. It just wasn’t thoroughly explored.
What about you guys?

I have that book Crosstalk to read. Another blogger rated 5 stars so I think we may like it. Can you read that many books in a week?

Seriously? Cause in Goodreads the avg rating of the book was below 4 stars. But hey…your comment gives me hope.
And hmm.. If I’m not too busy, I probably can. But mostly I just picked all of them coz I never know which book I’m going to read next. 😂

Currently reading Crosstalk right now and oh my God!!! I don’t know if I should be laughing or frustrated at their situation. And I can’t get enough of C.B. AND Briddey’s relatives. 😂

I’m reading The Mercy of the Tide right now and it is so good! I don’t normally like adult literature but this book has everything: vivid characters, great setting, mystery, magic, and realism. It’s awesome. 🙂 I hope you like/love it as much as I do!
