Totally Should’ve Book Tag

Good morning y’all whose souls are weary!

Here I am yet again for another book tag – The Totally Should’ve Book Tag – which I found on Thrice Read and was created by emmabooks.

♣ The Totally Should’ve Book Tag ♣

NUMBER ONE: “TOTALLY SHOULD’VE GOTTEN A SEQUEL”

crosstalk

Ahhh… Crosstalk by Connie Willis would be my top choice. This book had kept me on my toes from beginning to end and I would have liked to see more of Briddey and C.B. (and Briddey’s crazy family as well)!

♣♣♣♣♣

NUMBER TWO: “TOTALLY SHOULD’VE GOTTEN A SPIN-OFF SERIES”

This has been a long-ago wish of mine but I had hoped Christopher Paolini would write  a spin-off series revolving around Angela the Herbalist from The Inheritance Cycle. But unfortunately, she remains a complete mystery to me ’til this day.

♣♣♣♣♣

NUMBER THREE: “AN AUTHOR THAT TOTALLY SHOULD WRITE MORE BOOKS”

Elise Kova and Romina Russell for sure, my two new favorite authors of the year. I simply loved their works – Elise’s Air Awakens series and Romina’s Zodiac series.

♣♣♣♣♣

NUMBER FOUR: “A CHARACTER THAT TOTALLY SHOULD’VE ENDED UP WITH SOMEONE ELSE”

So I’m gonna be cheating here a little bit. Instead of picking a character from a book, I’ll be picking one from a movie. And that person is the female protagonist of Heroine Disqualified – Matsuzaki Hatori – whom I firmly believe by all rights, should have ended up with the secondary male lead Hiromitsu-kun! Not only do they look great and happy together, but the guy is just so swoon-worthy and scores 100% on effort!

NUMBER FIVE: “TOTALLY SHOULD’VE ENDED DIFFERENTLY”

Allegiant will always be my number one answer. I can’t explain how devastated I was when I first finished the series. It should’ve been that someone else who died!!!

NUMBER SIX: “TOTALLY SHOULD’VE HAD A MOVIE FRANCHISE”

Hmm… I’d definitely love to see A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole on-screen.

♣♣♣♣♣

NUMBER SEVEN: “TOTALLY SHOULD’VE HAD ONLY ONE POINT OF VIEW”

I don’t really mind multiple point of views so long as they don’t hinder my reading process, but I have to say The Lorien Legacies should only have 1 POV, though it could be different people for each book. The POVs of the characters feel so similar together that I had difficulty distinguishing the switch between POVs.

NUMBER EIGHT: “TOTALLY SHOULD’VE HAD A COVER CHANGE”

The Mercy of the Tide by Keith Rosson. Sorry, but I just didn’t love this cover.

♣♣♣♣♣

NUMBER NINE: “TOTALLY SHOULD’VE KEPT THE ORIGINAL COVERS”

Definitely The Wrath and the Dawn series! I’m not crazy about these new covers. They could’ve been alright if it wasn’t for those bold white fonts taking up too much space over the beautiful background.

♣♣♣♣♣

NUMBER TEN: “TOTALLY SHOULD’VE STOPPED AT BOOK ONE”

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes and Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. Seriously, I didn’t need sequels for these.

Is that a guinea pig! Thanks for the tag, I think you’re right about Outlander and Me before you. I don’t like a thousand boy kisses, and I feel like it’s only me, I just don’t like bad/sad endings

I can’t get into Crosstalk. It’s dragging badly. I have put it down and picked it up a few times but starting to feel bored with it. Currently putting it aside for Six of Crows. Thanks for the tag!
